MLA’s late-night visit and delay in alcohol test raise doubts about the Pune Porsche incident.

Pune Porsche crash

Local MLA Sunil Tingre arrived at the police station where the youngster had been brought less than an hour after the event after receiving a call from the boy’s father. This is not to put pressure on the police, Tingre stressed.

An MLA who arrived at the police station after 3 a.m., a blood alcohol test conducted more than eight hours later, and allegations of leniency by the Juvenile Justice Board — as the death of two youths in the Pune Porsche accident garners national attention, questions are being raised about whether attempts were made to shield the accused.

Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwani Koshta, engineers working in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar district, were murdered after a speeding Porsche reportedly driven by a 17-year-old collided with their motorbike at 2.30 a.m. on Sunday. The accused’s father is a well-known realtor in Pune.

Even though the accident happened at 2:30 in the morning and the teenager was apprehended by onlookers right away, the police took a blood sample at 11 in the morning, which is more than eight hours later.

When called, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated: “After the accident, the police team was busy dealing with the situation and the crowd.” However, there was a delay in conducting the blood sample test. The youngster was transferred to Sassoon Hospital around 9 a.m., and the sample was obtained at 11 a.m. We are looking into the reason for the delay.”
