The BJP will fail to finish in the middle, and MVA will win 32–35 seats: Prithviraj Chavan

Prithviraj Chavan MVA Congress

Senior Congressman and former chief minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan, predicted on Monday that the Maha Vikas Aghadi, a coalition of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP (SP), would easily win 32–35 seats in Maharashtra, and that the BJP would not be able to cross the halfway mark to win the Lok Sabha elections.

During a Monday interactive session in Mumbai with the Loksatta (Indian Express Group), Chavan made these remarks. People are determined to protect democracy and the Indian Constitution, thus they are treating the Lok Sabha elections seriously this time around. People’s sentiment in the nation is generally negative towards the BJP, according to Chavan.

This time around, there doesn’t seem to be the overwhelming Modi factor that was present in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019. Furthermore, words made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are in opposition to the Bharatiya Janata Party. The general public is disappointed and disillusioned as a result of growing rates of inflation and unemployment. Farmers are in turmoil as a result of the agrarian crisis. The former Union minister stated that it is improbable that the BJP will garner 273 seats, which is the midway point.
