Following Saturday’s flooding in the basement of an IAS training academy in historic Rajender Nagar, three students lost their lives. Even though water is being pushed out by motors, more pupils are apparently trapped in the basement. Three pupils are reportedly missing, and a search is under progress for them, according to police sources. An FIR was filed in relation to the event, and three bodies have been located.
Scene images revealed Rau’s IAS Study Circle basement to be flooded. Five fire engines were sent to conduct rescue efforts after fire brigade personnel got a report at 7:19 p.m. on Saturday regarding pupils who were trapped in the basement. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has teams on the scene as well.
“Water inundated the basement of the coaching facility in Old Rajender Nagar, prompting search and rescue efforts. The Delhi Fire Department issued a statement saying, “Several students are feared trapped.”
According to DCP Central M. Harshavardhan, around 7:00 p.m., they learned that a USPC coaching facility in Rajender Nagar had flooded its basement, possibly trapping several individuals. This evening’s intense rainfall caused waterlogging on the route. We are looking into the incident that resulted in the entire basement flooding. Up to now, one female student’s corpse has been found.
“Whoever is responsible for the incident will not be spared,” according to assurances made by Delhi Water Minister Atishi.

BJP Member of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj attacked Rajender Nagar MLA Durgesh Pathak and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that “they did not listen to the local people to get the drainage systems cleaned.”
“The roadway is still 2.5 feet below the waterline… The killings are the fault of Arvind Kejriwal and Durgesh Pathak, she declared.
