A sleeper bus traveling from Haridwar to Jaipur today crashed off a culvert and overturned after jumping off the divider near Dausa on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, resulting in one fatality and over twenty-two injuries.
The bus jumped off the divider and fell off the culvert at approximately 5:30 in the morning because the driver had fallen asleep.
Locals alerted the police to the accident scene by racing there.
The injured were taken to Dausa Hospital.
The person who died was identified as Ankita, 19, a resident of Tonk.
