Noida election

Officials have stated that Gautam Buddh Nagar schools and institutions will be closed on Friday due to the constituency’s Lok Sabha election. However, they plan to resume normal activities on Saturday. In order to assist voting, manufacturers and businesses have been advised to provide paid leave to their employees on Friday.

Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes Noida and Greater Noida, is slated to vote on April 26, with a total of 26.75 lakh registered voters.

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma emphasised the closure of educational institutions on Friday while ensuring that they will reopen on Saturday. He commented on the mandate for manufacturers and enterprises to provide employees time off to vote. This decision was made in response to concerns that some people may be unable to vote owing to work commitments.

According to Election Commission data, Gautam Buddh Nagar’s voter turnout has varied in past Lok Sabha elections. The constituency had a turnout of 60.47% in 2019, 60.38% in 2014, and a substantially lower 48% in 2009, highlighting the need for increased voter involvement.
