Go First Airlines was urged to submit a thorough reorganisation plan by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday in order to sustainably resume operations.
Go First requested permission to use the moratorium period to create a thorough restructuring plan for restarting operations and present it to the DGCA for the necessary regulatory approvals before restarting operations, according to their response to a show cause notice issued on May 8. A senior DGCA official confirmed this information.
In light of this, the DGCA instructed the airline on Wednesday to submit a thorough restructuring/revival plan for a long-term revival of operations within a 30-day window.
According to the official, “the airline has been asked to furnish, among other things, the status of the availability of operational aircraft fleet, post holders needed, pilots and other personnel, maintenance arrangements, funding/working capital, arrangements with lessors and vendors, etc. for the sustainable revival of operations.”
The DGCA will assess the resurrection plan after Go First submits it before taking any further appropriate action, the source continued.
