Chandigarh Dibrugarh Express Derailment: There is news of a train accident in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. Here the coaches of Dibrugarh Express (15904) going from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh have derailed. 4 passengers are reported dead in the accident. Many passengers are trapped in the compartment of the derailed train. Teams have been dispatched for rescue and relief. According to the information, an AC coach of the train has been badly damaged in the accident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the incident and directed the officials to reach the spot.

Railway statement on the accident

A statement has been issued by the Railways regarding this accident. According to the statement, Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express (159904) met with an accident at 2:37 pm. This train left from Gonda at 2 pm. After covering a distance of about 27 km, this train derailed 4 km ahead of Jhilahi station. Four to five coaches have been derailed.

It is being told that this accident happened at a distance of about 27 km from Gonda city. As soon as the train derailed, there was panic among the passengers. People started shouting in panic. Many passengers are trapped in the accident coach and efforts are being made to take them out. Local people are doing relief and rescue work at the accident site. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the accident site. Railway medical team has reached the spot.
