White House argues against Biden’s ‘xenophobic’ remark about Japan and India.

White House argues against Biden

On Thursday, the White House attempted to defend US President Joe’s comments by characterizing Japan and India, two of the nation’s QUAD partners, as “xenophobic” countries. He added China and Russia to the list as well. During a fundraiser for his campaign on Wednesday, Biden stated that these nations did not accept immigrants like the US did.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended the comments, stating that President Biden was merely putting out a “broader point”. He was speaking more broadly. The president’s appreciation for our allies and partners is well known to them,” the press secretary for the White House informed reporters on Thursday.

What Was Joe Biden Saying Regarding Japan And India?

President Biden emphasized the significance of the next election while preparing for criticism over his immigration policies at a Democratic Party fundraiser. He emphasized how it relates to democracy, freedom, and American ideals. In addition, he discussed the contribution of immigrants to the country’s economic development, drawing a comparison between the US’s open immigration policies and what he called “xenophobic attitudes” in other nations, such as China, Japan, Russia, and India.

Members of the QUAD alliance Japan and India have both paid diplomatic trips to the US. While Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited the White House in April, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a visit last year.
