3 Cops Suspended Over Lapse In PM Modi’s Security During Jharkhand Visit

According to a police officer on Thursday, three policemen were suspended for failing to provide proper security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ranchi.
The officer stated that the action was taken because on Wednesday morning, a woman abruptly ran and blocked the path of the PM’s convoy as it was traveling to Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park, also known as the Freedom Fighter Museum.

On the other hand, the woman was apprehended and detained right away by security personnel sent in to protect PM.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda, PM Modi spent two days in Jharkhand.

“An ASI and two constables have been suspended for dereliction of duty during the prime minister’s visit,” according to a police statement.

Constables Ranjan Kumar, Chotelal Tudu, and ASI Abu Zafar are among the police officers who were placed on suspension.

Sangita Jha, the woman who was apprehended while attempting to enter PM’s security, was said to be angry with her husband and wanted to file a complaint against him, according to police.

“During interrogation, the woman said that she was married to a man at Jamuni village in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district in 2012,” Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chandan Kumar Sinha told PTI. However, a disagreement arose between them in 2016.”

They frequently got into fights with each other. “The woman requests that her bank account be credited with her husband’s salary. In this context, she also spent ten days meeting with the prime minister in Delhi in October of this year. She also attempted to meet with the President, but failed. She went back to her in-laws’ Deoghar home after all attempts were unsuccessful, according to the SSP.

Jha informed the police that she had learned of the PM’s impending visit to the state capital before traveling to Ranchi.

The police claim that the woman made an attempt to see him on Wednesday at Raj Bhavan after failing to meet him on Tuesday night during the roadshow.

“She was leaving Raj Bhavan feeling let down. However, she abruptly heard the PM’s convoy’s siren at Radium Road and moved in front of it,” Sinha claimed.

The prime minister held a 10-kilometer roadshow on Tuesday, and the following morning, he presented flowers to the statue of Birsa Munda at the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park, also known as the Freedom Fighter Museum, which is located close to Ranchi’s Jail Chowk.

Later on Wednesday, on the occasion of the third Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, he paid respects to the tribal hero by traveling to Ulihatu village in Khunti district, the birthplace of Birsa Munda.

In order to support the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), he also started a project worth ₹ 24,000 crores.

The PM also unveiled the 15th installment of ₹ 18,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme, launched the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” and laid the groundwork for projects in the state valued at ₹ 7,200 crore.
