In an attempt to quell the controversy surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accusation that the Congress intends to “redistribute wealth to infiltrators” and senior politician Sam Pitroda’s comments on the matter, Rahul Gandhi has partially retracted his “wealth survey” statement.
The Congress MP stated, “I have not said we will take action yet…,” during a New Delhi party. All I’m suggesting is, let’s investigate the extent of the injustice.” Mr. Gandhi was alluding to preparations for a national caste survey that his party and the opposition INDIA alliance would carry out in the event that they won the election.
According to Mr. Gandhi, this endeavour, which will include an institutional and economic assessment, is a “important step” towards understanding how various societal segments have evolved over time and what is required to guarantee socioeconomic justice and equality for all groups.
“The caste census is more than just a caste survey, don’t assume that. We’ll supplement it with an institutional and economic assessment as well. It is a significant step to evaluate the current situation and determine the necessary course of action after seventy years. We’ll put this into practice’, he remarked.
Mr. Gandhi laughed and responded, “So, did you like the Congress manifesto? ” to PM Modi and his BJP. The prime minister appears to be in a panic, as seen by the revolutionary manifesto.
