Mumbai BMW Hit and Run Case: A Mumbai magistrate court has granted bail to Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah in the BMW hit-and-run case. At the same time, his driver Rajarshi Bidawat has been sent to one-day police custody.
Let us tell you that at the time of the accident, Bidawat was inside the car with the leader’s son Mihir Shah. Rajesh was initially sent to 14-day judicial custody on charges of helping his accused son escape and destroying evidence. But later he was granted provisional bail on a bond of Rs 15,000. At the same time, accused Mihir is still absconding. A lookout notice has been issued for the leader’s son. The Mumbai Police, which is investigating, has found that a few hours before the accident, Mihir went to a bar in Juhu with his four friends and paid a bill of Rs 18,730 at around 1 pm. According to the police, Mihir is suspected of drinking alcohol at the Global Topas Bar.
Let us tell you that on Sunday morning, a speeding BMW allegedly driven by Mihir hit a two-wheeler in Worli, due to which a 45-year-old woman was dragged for about two kilometers and died. On the other hand, Pradeep Liladhar Nakhwa, husband of the deceased Kaveri Nakhwa, said that if the car driver had shown some humanity and stopped the car, my wife would have been alive today. When the car hit our scooter from behind, I fell on the bonnet of the car and Kaveri fell on my back, due to which she did not get seriously injured initially. We were shouting to the person driving the car ‘Stop! Stop!’ But he ran away with Kaveri on the bonnet. He dragged my wife on the bonnet from CJ House to Sea Link. I saw him; he was a young, lean man with a beard and thick hair.
