Congress Workers Behind Attack On Allu Arjun’s House? Party Responds

The Congress party has dismissed allegations of its involvement in the attack on actor Allu Arjun’s house following the recent Hyderabad theatre stampede incident, which resulted in the death of a woman.

The denial comes in response to unverified social media posts linking the main accused in the attack to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Congress spokesperson Sama Ram Mohan Reddy told NDTV, “None of them belong to Congress. If any Congress links are found, those workers will stand disqualified.”

Attack on Allu Arjun’s House

On Sunday, a protest erupted outside Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad residence, allegedly involving individuals claiming to be students of Osmania University. The protest escalated as the group barged into the actor’s house, throwing tomatoes and breaking flower pots. They chanted slogans demanding ₹1 crore in compensation for the family of the deceased woman.

Six people were arrested in connection with the incident but were granted bail by a local court.

Political Reactions

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condemned the attack, urging the state police to maintain law and order. He also accused Allu Arjun of ignoring police warnings and attending the premiere of Pushpa 2, triggering a stampede-like situation. According to Reddy, the actor’s actions, including waving to crowds from his car’s sunroof, contributed to the chaos.

The actor refuted these allegations, stating he followed police guidance and denied holding any roadshow or procession. “If there was no permission, we wouldn’t have gone. I followed all instructions given to me,” Allu Arjun clarified at a press conference.

Theatre Stampede Incident

The stampede occurred during the screening of Pushpa 2, claiming the life of a woman and critically injuring her nine-year-old son. Following the incident, cases were filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management.

While the theatre owner, general manager, and security manager were arrested on December 8, Allu Arjun was taken into custody five days later and granted bail on December 14.
