Members of the New Academic Advisory Board are Announced by GITAM.

The new Academic Advisory Board of GITAM University will include a number of distinguished professionals, scientists, and respected educators.
February 2023, Visakhapatnam: Recently, the prestigious university GITAM (Deemed to be University), which has campuses in Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, announced the formation of a new Academic Advisory Board. The members and Mr. M. Sri Bharat, President of GITAM University, recently met.

The new members of the board include Padma Bhushan awardee Prof. P Balaram, Former Director IISc; Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. K Srinath Reddy, President, of Public Health Foundation of India and Former HOD Cardiology AIIMS, New Delhi; Prof Ashok Misra, NASI, Distinguished Professor at IISC and Former Director, IIT Bombay; Prof Suranjan Das, VC of Jadavpur University, and former VC of Calcutta University; and Prof P Duraisamy, Former VC of the University of Madras.

GITAM’s Chancellor, Dr. Virander Chauhan recently chaired the advisory board which met for the second time at the Visakhapatnam campus. The new Advisory Board with some of India’s eminent academicians, intellectuals, and institution-builders will review and guide GITAM’s academic and research strategies and trajectory. Members took stock and offered valuable inputs in the areas of faculty development, research funding, holistic development of students, academic innovations, and university governance.
