Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan BREAKS Aamir Khan’s 14-Year Unbeatable Record of Success At The Box-Office

No one can deny that the Khans are the undisputed box office kings of Bollywood, despite the backlash and boycott culture on social media. Mr. Perfectionist himself, Aamir Khan, is one of the Khans who has broken the most box office records. The superstar has been breaking his own box office records for the last 14 years, but Shah Rukh Khan’s return movie Pathaan has now surpassed those milestones.

It’s true what you just read! The action spy thriller, which Siddharth Anand directed, officially broke Dangal’s seven-year record when it crossed the Rs 400 crore club. For more than 14 years, Aamir has been invincible at the box office. In honor of the 57-year-old actor’s long run at the box office, fans have started using the hashtag #14YearsOnTheTop on social media. These include films like Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK, and Dangal, among many more.

When it comes to Aamir’s unstoppable run at the box office, it all began when the release of 3 Idiots by Rajkumar Hirani broke the records set by Gajini. The public started to anticipate Aamir Khan breaking his own records in the early 2010s after that. With films like PK and Dangal, which set a record for the highest-grossing movie over the previous seven years, he extended his trend in 2014.

For those who are unaware, Ghajini was the first Hindi movie to gross 100 crores, followed by 3 Idiots, the first Hindi movie to gross 200 crores, PK, the first Hindi movie to gross 300 crores, and Dangal, the first Hindi movie to gross 400 crores. And SRK’s comeback movie ended the streak, which had lasted a solid fourteen years.

Aamir, who was most recently seen in the films Laal Singh Chaddha and Salaam Venky, revealed that he would be taking a hiatus from acting to devote more time to his family. While celebrating the success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan is also working on the films Jawan and Dunki.
