A guy has been detained by Assam Police on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl, killing her, and then disposing of her body in a river.Guwahati’s Kamrup (Metro) district is where the incident was reported.
According to police sources, the eighth-grade student left last Monday to recharge her phone but never came back. On Friday, her body was discovered in Sonapur’s Digaru River. Locals protested against this at the Sonapur police station.
The protesters called for immediate action and the offender’s execution.An auto-rickshaw driver who is accused has now been detained by police. According to the police, he confessed to the crime. More investigation is ongoing, they said.
