According to authorities, a crude bomb manufacturing explosion that left one person dead and another critically hurt occurred in rural West Bengal, which is gearing up for election day.Late on Sunday night, the event happened at Shalipur village in the Haroa neighbourhood of the North 24 Parganas district.
Paritosh Mondal was recognised as the dead, a Basirhat police officer said, adding that no one has been detained as of yet.The two injured people were taken by ambulance to the Basirhat sub-divisional hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead. We are looking into the explosion,” he said over the phone to PTI.
To receive better care, the badly hurt person is being sent to a hospital in Kolkata.
