Akhilesh Yadav: Investors in UP who pledged 33 lakh crore are now untraceable.

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, attempted to hold the BJP-led government accountable for investment claims in Uttar Pradesh today by claiming that investors who made investment commitments at the Lucknow investors’ summit had since disappeared.

He stated in a Hindi tweet that “some investors in the Investors’ Summit, earlier, went away saying ‘yes’ under the pressure of the BJP government, but now they are not being traced.”

“‘Jaane kahan gaye woh log’ is being regretfully sung by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. In a Hindi tweet, he continued, “The officers are also singing and shouting at the investors, ‘Wada na tod, wada na tod’ (don’t break the promise)”.

Along with it, he tweeted using the hashtag #bewafa_Niveshak (unfaithful investors).

The state government of Uttar Pradesh claims that 10,000 investors attended the Global Investors’ Summit in February of this year to make investments.

It stated that it had received investment bids totaling more than 33.50 lakh crore, which was a record for the nation.
