Court extends Sisodia’s judicial detention until April 17 in the Delhi Excise Scam

In the case of the Delhi Excise Scam, a designated CBI judge on Monday extended Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody until April 17. Sisodia was brought before special judge M K Nagpal, who granted the investigation agency’s request to prolong Sisodia’s judicial custody by 14 days.

The federal agency testified before the court that the corruption case related to the “scam” is at a critical point in the probe. Sisodia was arrested for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22.
