Cllr Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana is the elected Mayor of Hillingdon for 2023 to 2024. He is accompanied in his duties by 2 Mayoresses – his wife Amtul Woud Wallana and daughter Tooba Khulat Wallana.
Cllr Ahmad-Wallana moved to the UK from Pakistan in 2003 and was naturalised in Hillingdon Civic Centre in 2009.
He was first elected as a councillor in Yiewsley in 2014 and now represents Colham and Cowley, following boundary changes.
In 2022/2023, he deputised for former Mayor Cllr Haggar.
Cllr Ahmad-Wallana speaks 3 languages (English, Urdu and Punjabi). In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, travel and learning.
